I had the opportunity to interview Kirsten over at Simplygrove Blog. I am such a huge fan of her and her blog. She also happens to be my cousin. You will find so much inspiration for your home on her lovely blog!

Here are some of the questions I asked her:

Me: Tell me a little bit about yourself?

Kirsten: I am wife, mommy, minister, blogger, orphan advocate, chai drinker, sushi lover!

Me: What is your favorite thing about being a Mom?

Kirsten: Watching my kids become little people with feelings, opinions, talents and temperaments. There is NEVER a dull moment and I LOVE it!!

Me: Do you cook? What would be your favorite dish that you make for your kids?

Kirsten: I cook….sometimes. I adore baking. Partly because I love eating any kind of batter!! Traditional Chocolate Chip cookies are always a hit.

Me: What was your favorite thing about decorating your kids rooms?

Kirsten: Being able to create a space that is not stuffy in its lines but free and whimsical. My sons room has more clean lines and my daughters room is more fluffy. The rooms compliment there personalities. She is quirky and he is on schedule.

Me:Where do you go in your home, if you need some alone time?

Kirsten: My bedroom. If the home is in Chaos I hide in my bed. Haha. Not really but sometimes I want to.

Me: Where do you find interior inspiration for your home?

Kirsten: Magazines, blogs, sites and antique stores. There is SO much inspiration out there! Its amazing.

Me: Any advice that you have learned for new mothers in raising children?

Kirsten: Go with the flow and relax. Schedule is great but don’t lose out on fun memorable moments because of schedule. You can never get back time that is lost.
